After unexpectedly creating a TikTok dance challenge, Jin took to Weverse to ask ARMYs to refrain from joining the trend because he felt embarrassed.

No, but please don’t do a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge that I did not plan. No, I’m so embarrassed…

— Jin

Jin even feared that the song might become so popular that BIGHIT MUSIC might demand more from him. The song is only about 1 minute long, much to ARMYs’ dismay, so he worried he might be made to add a second verse.

No but there are so many other songs, why are you doing a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge.. if this gets bigger, the company might say to make a second verse, stop it~~~~~

— Jin

Despite Jin’s embarrassment, “Super Tuna” has remained loved by ARMYs. They frequently stream and dance to it.

Well, it looks as though Jin’s concerns are now reality.

On June 13, one day after Jin’s discharge from the military, he celebrated BTS’s 11th anniversary with ARMYs in their 2024 FESTA celebrations. He not only held his anticipated hug event but also performed some of his songs during the fanmeeting. ARMYs were excited to hear “Moon” live but finally see the second performance of “The Astronaut.”

Yet, they never expected Jin to perform “Super Tuna” for them! This marks his first live performance of it.

It was also notably longer than the recorded song. Jin prepared an extended version.

Jin added a second verse. Some ARMYs have transcribed and translated what was heard.

Jin revealed he prepared the new “Super Tuna” recording with the second verse. He even spoke to producer Bumzu about a second verse. Jin teased that it might get an official release.

Although Jin was so embarrassed by “Super Tuna,” he knew ARMYs loved it. Seeing how much Jin prepared, ARMYs felt so loved.

Hopefully, we can get that extended version of “Super Tuna” officially released soon!
