Here Are All The tripleS Members Who Competed in Survival Shows

Before making their debut with tripleS, these six girls were survival show contestants!

1. Jiwoo

Jiwoo was the third member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on October 28, 2022. Before debuting with the group, however, Jiwoo was a contestant on “My Teenage Girl.”

She competed on the show from 2021 to 2022 but was eliminated in episode six.

Originally, she was just meant to be a model for the trailer of the show, but she decided to audition for the show and compete. She garnered attention for being a former JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and FNC Entertainment trainee.

After her debut as a tripleS member, Jiwoo competed on Mnet’s “Queendom Puzzle.” She was eliminated in the finale, ending in 13th place.

2. Yooyeon

Yooyeon was the fifth member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on October 28, 2022. Before debuting with tripleS, however, Yooyeon competed on “My Teenage Girl.”

Yooyeon was originally eliminated in the first episode but was brought back by mentor Soyeon of (G)I-DLE in the third episode. She became a crowd favorite, as she never dropped the top three until the finale. However, in the last episode, she failed to debut with CLASS:y, finishing in eighth place.

3. Kotone

Kotone was the 11th member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on October 11, 2023. Before debuting with tripleS, Kotone was a contestant on Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999.”

During her time on the show, Kotone was among the more popular Japanese trainees. Sadly, she failed to make it to the finale and was eliminated during the third round of eliminations (semi-finals). Her final rank was 24th place.

4. Nien

Nien was the 13th member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on August 17, 2023. Prior to her debut with the girl group, Nien was a contestant on “Girls Planet 999.”

During her time on the show, she was part of the C-Group (Chinese) trainees, though she is from Taiwan. Nien was eliminated in episode eight, where she ended the show with a rank of C18. Prior to the show, she was a former FNC Entertainment trainee.

5. Xinyu

Xinyui was the 15th member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on August 17, 2023. Before making her debut with tripleS, Xinyu competed on “Girls Planet 999.”

Xinyu was part of the C-Group (Chinese) trainees during her time on the show. Originally supposed to be eliminated in episode eight, she was saved by the mentors, who gave her the Planet Pass. Sadly, Xinyu was eliminated in episode eight, finishing the show in 22nd place.

6. Chaewon

Chaewon was the 21st member of tripleS to be revealed and made her debut on May 8, 2024. Before joining the tripleS line-up, Chaewon was a contestant on “Universe Ticket.”

Sadly, her time on the show did not last long. She was eliminated in round one of the show, finishing in 70th place.
