Lee Joon receives offer to lead a new K-drama by “Liver or Die” director

Lee Joon is in talks to lead a new TV Chosun K-drama directed by Jin Hyung Wook (Liver or Die).

On May 28, media outlets reported that Lee Joon has been picked to lead the upcoming K-drama I Can’t Live Without You (working title). This K-drama will be the next collaboration of director Jin Hyung Wook and writer Moon Young Nam. 

The upcoming K-drama  I Can’t Live Without You will be the fifth collaboration work of the director and writer. They also created the K-dramas Red Balloon, Liver or Die, Three Brothers, and Wang’s Family. The duo always achieve high ratings for their K-dramas. Expectation arises with the new K-drama that the two will work on.

There are no details yet on the plot, filming schedule, and other reported casts for the upcoming K-drama  I Can’t Live Without You. 

According to reports, Lee Joon got the offer to portray the role of the main lead named Baek Tae Rang. 

If Lee Joon confirms his casting, this will be his follow-up K-drama project after The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection. This year, Lee Joon showcased his skills as the series’ villain. He showed great performance and chemistry with other casts Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Yoo Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, and more. 

Lee Joon started his career through the MBC sitcom Here He Comes in 2008. After a year, he became a member of the K-pop boy group MBLAQ. In 2010, he kicked off his acting career and appeared in the K-drama Jungle Fish 2. 

Since then, Lee Joon has been active in his acting and singing career. He starred in various K-dramas IRIS 2, The Dramatic, Gap Dong, Mr. Back, Heard It Through the Grapevine, Vampire Detective, My Father Is Strange, Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, Bloody Heart, and more.

Lee Joon ended his MBLAQ activities in 2014 after their contracts ended. From 2014 onwards, Lee Joon focused on his acting activities.
