Man in critical condition after being stabbed at Milton Keynes’ Reggae Land festival

A man was left in a critical condition after he was stabbed at Reggae Land festival in Milton Keynes last night (August 4).

Thames Valley Police confirmed that the incident took place in the main arena of Milton Keynes Bowl, where the festival took place, and that they had taken statements from witnesses. It is thought to have happened at around 8:50pm last night. The police are continuing to carry out “forensic examinations as well as CCTV enquiries”.

“Medical staff attended the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His condition is described as critical,” they explained in a statement.

Thames Valley Police added that the attack was believed to be “targeted”, and that there was “no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public”.

“Working very closely with the event organisers and their security team, we are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident,” a Thames Valley Police spokesperson confirmed.

The police are now encouraging anyone with information or anyone else who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Reggae Land has not yet commented on the incident.

Taking place over two days, the annual reggae festival featuring artists including Gentleman’s Dub Club, Shabba Ranks, General Levy, Popcaan, Koffee, and more. The next year’s edition has already been confirmed to be taking place on August 2 and 3, 2025.
