P-Pop Group BINI Becomes “First Ever” Filipino Artist To Achieve New Global Spotify Record

BINI is one of the top P-Pop acts in the Philippines. They were formed through ABS-CBN‘s Star Hunt Academy in 2019 and debuted with “Born to Win” in 2021.

They became a nationwide success when their song “Pantropiko” went viral earlier this year. Fans and non-fans alike uploaded their own versions of the dance challenge on TikTok and other social media platforms. By March 2024, BINI held the record of the most streamed P-Pop group in the Philippines.

On June 9, the eight-member girl group broke an even bigger Spotify record.

They entered the Global Top Artist Chart on Spotify at 193rd place, becoming the first ever Filipino artist to achieve this.

Fans took to social media to exclaim their excitement upon hearing the news. They were incredibly proud that BINI was making “herstory” and having their moment.

Many were also emotional upon seeing how far the girls have come, boasting millions of monthly listeners and becoming global sensations.

BINI is an eight-member girl group consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
