Korean drama Serendipity’s Embrace, Episode 5 aired on tvN in South Korea last night and, despite the ongoing coverage of the Olympic Games on another channel, was still able to earn the same steady rating earned for its previous two episodes.
According to Nielsen Korea, Serendipity’s Embrace, Episode 5 grabbed 2.69 percent of the nationwide audience on Monday night, which is slightly higher than the 2.66 percent it earned for Episode 4.
The K-drama performed even better in Seoul where its viewership was 3.04 percent, compared to Episode 4’s rating of 3.00 percent last Tuesday.
Both are pretty decent numbers considering the Olympics have been sucking up a substantial percentage of the audience for well over a week now.
Meanwhile, Serendipity’s Embrace is being rated a very solid 8.3 out of 10 by users of the Asian drama oriented site My Drama List.
Considering the site’s users tend to rate much lower than those on other sites, that is a very good rating.
The drama is rated even higher on Viki, however, where it is streaming for that site’s subscribers.
Over 3,100 people are currently rating Serendipity’s Embrace an extremely high 9.7 out of 10.
Serendipity’s Embrace stars Kim So Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Yoon Ji On, and Kim Da Som.
It airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday evening at 20.40 (KST) with Viki streaming it internationally around the same time.
