Wedding bells abound in the latest teaser for tvN’s romantic-comedy No Gain No Love starring bride Shin Mina (Our Blues) with her fake fiancé Kim Young-dae (Moon in the Day). For some, life needs love, and for others, it’s all about the costs and benefits. Those expensive bouquets won’t pay for themselves!

Our heroine Sohn Hae-young (Shin Mina) plans to get married, but it isn’t for love. It isn’t even to fulfill societal expectations. No, for Hae-young weddings are a business transaction, and she intends to profit. Still in her wedding dress, Hae-young riffles through the gifted envelopes and marvels at the stacks of cash.

With a smile, she hands them over to her groom Kim Ji-wook (Kim Young-dae), and he places them in a counting machine to get an exact number. He raises his eyebrows at Hae-young who fans herself with the money but then cracks a smile while watching her laugh. However, regardless of Ji-wook’s reactions, Hae-young’s exuberance knows no bounds as she jumps up from her chair flaunting her earnings.

The teaser reiterates that weddings are no big deal to our heroine, so why not get hitched? Tossing the cash in the air and letting it shower over them, Hae-young announces that they just got married.

The newest poster for the show also showcases the couple in their wedding garb, and while she looks ecstatic, he most definitely does not share in her excitement. His surlier attitude makes sense since, unlike Hae-young, Ji-wook hates inconveniencing people, and a sham wedding sure sounds like a huge inconvenience to the unknowing guests. The copy reads, “This wedding, reap what you sow!”

Written by Kim Hye-young (Her Private Life) and directed by PD Kim Jung-shik (Work Later, Drink Now), tvN’s No Gain No Love is slated for twelve episodes and premieres August 26 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
