In a letter, fans asked for an explanation and plans from SM Entertainment regarding the opportunities open for Johnny. Fans listed out the idol’s commendable skills, which shows in his reputation as a DJ, songwriter, and producer.
They brought up that Johnny often shares his projects, but the content would need exposure with the company’s support.
They also mentioned Johnny’s popularity and online presence, as the idol made buzz during the Met Gala 2022, generated $1.8 million in Media Impact Value for Thom Browne at New York Fashion Week 2023, and $1.9 million at Paris Fashion Week 2024 for Acne Studios.

NCTzens also highlighted that Johnny is also well-recognized for his variety skills. But despite this asset, they expressed that SM never made an effort to put the idol in variety shows. They added that the agency hasn’t provided Johnny with any staff member for his YouTube content.
Furthermore, fans brought up how much he’s loved by public figures, fans, and non-K-pop fans. They also mentioned Johnny’s potential as an actor.
Johnny rarely has any schedules outside of NCT 127. Despite limited chances, he always shines.
