Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young portray demon Kang Bit Na and Detective Han Da On, respectively, who unite to punish vile criminals.

When asked how it was working with Kim Jae Young, Park Shin Hye said, “Kim Jae Young has such a great personality that we quickly became comfortable working together. He was very considerate when acting and when I gave him my opinions during our scenes together, he accepted them with a positive attitude. Thanks to that, filming was easy and we also came up with ideas together. I’m really grateful [to him].”

She added, “Han Da On is a beloved character who draws the audience’s empathy. While he’s professional at work, he’s very affectionate to his family and friends, and I think this [aspect of the character] mirrors a lot of Kim Jae Young’s charm in real life.”

Kim Jae Young also expressed his gratitude toward Park Shin Hye, saying, “Park Shin Hye is a truly upright person and someone from whom there is much to learn. Although she is my senior, she is also younger than me, so she was very considerate toward me and also guided me a lot. Watching her, I could see why she’s been able to maintain such a successful career for so long, and I also learned a lot.”

He continued, “The role of Kang Bit Na is really difficult and challenging [one to portray], yet Park Shin Hye never let it show and gave her best until the very end. Though Kang Bit Na is an anti-hero as a demon, Park Shin Hye’s charm makes her character impossible to dislike. She has a strong charm that evokes a desire to protect her.”

The Judge from Hell will air two episodes on September 21 (Saturday). The K-drama will be available to stream on Disney+.
