“Connection” Breaks Its Own Record, “The Atypical Family” Scores Decent Viewership

After hitting 7% nationwide viewership for episode 3, the SBS crime thriller Connection rose to another high, scoring 7.9% (nationwide) and 8.2% (metropolitan) for episode 4. The K-drama has not once experienced a drop in its nationwide ratings. It will most likely hit double-digits next week.

JTBC’s fantasy drama The Atypical Family scored 3.61% (nationwide) for episode 9, slightly better than its previous Saturday episode’s rating of 3.48%. However, it experienced a significant drop from its previous episode’s viewership of 4.24%. Nonetheless, The Atypical Family has seen an improvement in its Netflix ranking. The K-drama went from ranking eighth (May 13 – May 19) to ranking sixth (May 20 – May 26) on Netflix’s Top 10 list (non-English). The Atypical Family is currently in its penultimate week of airing.

tvN’s The Midnight Romance in Hagwon scored a nationwide rating of 4.11% for episode 7, dropping from 4.23% (episode 5) and 4.89% (episode 6). Since episode 4, the K-drama has maintained a streak of 4% ratings.

MBC’s Bittersweet Hell dropped to its lowest rating of 4.9% for episode 4. Its previous episode recorded the highest viewership of 6.2%, and the sharp drop makes the K-drama’s prospects of hitting double digits difficult.
